> Your vocabulary of shapes looks quite classifiable, have you ever ordered
them in a lexicon, or syntax of combinations ?
_ I have never classified my shapes, but I do think that
some formal rules established themselves naturally in my
mind.
> あなたの形についてのボキャブラリーはかなり定義する事が出来るが、言葉の組み合わせとかの用語辞典みたいなものを作った事がありますか
?
_ どんな形が何のグループに入るとか整理した事はないけれど、自然にその規則が出来てきてそれが自分のものになったと思います。

as-tu déjà réalisé un lexique, une syntaxe de combinaisons
?
_ Je n’ai jamais classé mes formes, mais je pense qu’il
y a quelques règles formelles qui se sont établies naturellement.

> Some pieces still seem
hybrid, but we can see they are more under control, more
balanced.
_ They can be hybrid. As long as the idea is clear from the
beginning, you can get your message across. What is most
important is working on an idea. Earlier in my career, I
wasn’t as clear in my goals, I used to jump into the void,
discovering the shape as I went along.
> 未だ何か混成中の作品の様に見えますが、よりコントロールされ、均衡がとれている様に感じます。
_ たとえ混成していても、ちゃんと最初のアイデアがしっかりしていれば最後迄メッセージを貫く事が出来る。アイデアが何と言っても一番大切。前は自分でもアイデアがはっきりしないまま始めて、仕事をしながら形を見つけていました。
> Il y a des pièces qui sont encore des hybridations
mais on les sent beaucoup plus maîtrisées, équilibrées...
_ Si l’idée est claire au début, on peut porter un message
à terme, même hybride. L’essentiel est dans l’idée. Avant,
je n’étais pas aussi clair, je me lançais, je découvrais
la forme en travaillant. |

> When we were talking
about the knot as a metaphor of your inner questioning,
it appeared that this problem is open: different parts
of the knot move deliberately with different textures and
expressions, allowing the audience to identify two parts,
two characters. Does your abstract sculpture turn into
narrative ?
_ The public sees the sculpture, he sees the knot, he has
a freedom to interpret. Some will see two human bodies intertwining,or
other will see intestines, another abstract shapes. When
I work, I feel a sensuality in space. There is a sense of
expectation in the air. The knot was a preparation for this
liberation, this discovery of secret interactions between
shapes.

_ ある人は二人の人間が重なりあっている様に見るかもしれないし、他の人は腸を想像するかもしれないし、形だけかも知れない。仕事をしながら、こんな官能性が空間に存在する何かが起こりそうだということを感じます。結び目はこの
解放前の、形同士の秘密関係の準備期間であったようです。
> Que se passe-t-il ?
_ Certains y verront l’enlacement de deux corps humains,
d’autre des intestins, d’autre rien que des formes. En
travaillant, je sens que cette sensualité existe dans
l’espace, il se prépare quelque chose. Le noeud était
une sorte de préparation avant cette libération, cette
découverte des relations secrètes entre les formes.
